7/28/05: AOL launches mobile search similar to that provided by Google and Yahoo. Introduces MyAOL in beta mode.

7/27/05: Yahoo Toolbar for Firefox released from beta mode.

7/26/05: Yahoo and Motorola partner up to offer Yahoo search (and other services) on Motorola cell phones and other devices. This marks Yahoo's move into mobile search.

7/25/05: Yahoo acquires Pixoria, and along with it, Konfabulator - a collection of applications that allow the user access to oft-referenced information, such as stock quotes and weather forecasts, through colorful, user-friendly interfaces known as "Widgets."

7/25/05: Microsoft releases MSN Virtual Earth, similar to Google Maps in its integration of maps and satellite images with local search results.

7/18/05: According to today's Ad Age report, the Time Warner Network, followed by Yahoo, MSN, and Google are the top web properties of choice among U.S. Hispanics.

7/23/05: Google Maps introduces "hybrid view." Allows user to add street names to satellite images.

7/19/05: Google opens a research and development center in China. This marks a move into a market of 1.3 billion people. Today, 100 million Chinese are online. Almost a third use high-speed connections. China's population of cell phone users, at 350 million, exceeds the entire U.S. population.

7/7/05: Google releases Toolbar for Firefox with two new extensions. One suggests alternate search terms when you enter your query into the toolbar. Another allows you to send text from a web page to a cell phone as a text message.

7/7/05: Fathom Online releases June Keyword Price Index showing cost of paid search increasing to an average of $1.72/click, up 3% from May.

7/6/05: Google makes it easier to report Adsense spam sites and click fraud by linking the "Ads by Google" logo to a page soliciting user feedback
