Search Engine Reports May, 2009 No longer is a #1 listing required for multiple deeplinks within a site to be displayed within Google search results. Some lower-ranked sites now show a single row of "Sitelinks" too. No longer must you specify location when conducting a local search. Google will determine this automatically (by your IP address) and serve up local results. Adsense is beta testing a new feature that allows users to block ads in categories frequently used by spammers, such as dating, sexual health, and diet. Microsoft combines Live Product Search with their "cashback" program in an ongoing attempt to get people to use their engine. Yahoo announces the closure of Geocities, which should take place by the end of the year. Now you can create a profile on Google, making it easier for people to find you by name. Results will show your picture, your occupation, and your name linked to a complete profile.
